Domestic Violence Definition: Acts of violence or abuse against a person living in one’s household, especially a member of one’s immediate family.So I guess we can add all the Cullen’s to this argument. But I’ll try and stick to Emmett and Rosalie.
So first let me ask how is this in anyway domestic violence? They’re vampires, all part of the same coven going up to each other, willingly I might add, in different pairings to demonstrate how to fight against new borns. Alice and Jasper went against each other and the only reason it wasn’t more physical is because Alice could predict his every move. Since Emmett is the strongest vampire and most like a new born it would make sense that all the Cullen’s would have at least one round with him, just like it was shown with Jasper, during the training including Rosalie. Who by the way also probably knows his fighting and physical tactics better than the others since they’ve been together 80 years.
It’s also been mentioned numerous times that Emmett and Rosalie are the most physical of the couples, just look to the whole house smashing talk in BD. You think that would have been any less physical between the two, for them to demolish who knows how many houses during sex over the years? I think it means Emmett knows how to handle his strength otherwise she actually would have been hurt or killed years ago if he didn’t. Domestic violence/abuse isn’t a claim to be thrown around so lightly when there’s no ground for it at all here. Had it been Esme and Emmett or Rosalie and Edward you never would have mentioned domestic violence even though by definition that’s what it could be considered. However because Emmett and Rosalie are ‘Mates’ going against each other in training it obviously means there’s some ill intent on one or both of their parts toward the other, according to your statement, when that’s obviously not true.
What Royce did to Rosalie THAT was domestic violence/abuse/rape and murder, they may have not been living together at the time but they were a week from getting married. But not only did he do those things to her he allowed his friends to do the same with no regard for her life. Think if it hadn’t happened that night on her way home from Vera’s it wouldn’t have later on in their relationship especially once Rosalie was his wife and probably in his mind his property? Emmett has shown nothing but care, love, and protection when it comes to Rose. I hate when people throw around such serious issues and accusations in fandoms such as rape or domestic abuse like it’s nothing, especially when there’s absolutely no evidence of it. If you wanna throw around domestic violence then we can add the post-sex extreme bruising/physical damage done by Edward to Bella even though that was accidental (oh and the whole Reneesme thing since that actually went and killed her) or how about when Sam scarred Emily for life because he couldn’t control his wolf and strength at the time? Domestic abuse implies something malicious, vile and disgusting that real people go through every day and for many with no escape from it. That’s not present here at all.
So before you go making such claims that make no sense and have no base of accuracy you really should think about what your words imply and how they might affect other people seeing MY post and what you’re adding to it.

“No,” Esme said, sitting next to Rosalie on her bed and patting her shoulder. “I’m sure she doesn’t mean to hurt us… maybe she can’t remember our stories—we told them to her when she was human, after all.”“That’s no excuse! She didn’t seem to appreciate how much it hurt us to watch her when she was pregnant, either, and she was human then.”
Esme sighed. She wanted to give Bella the benefit of the doubt, but it was becoming increasingly difficult.
“And the fact she had the nerve to name her after you!”
“I thought it was a kind gesture…”
“It was so fake,” Rosalie spat. “How many times has she talked to you, Esme? Just you, not when we’re together as a family?”
“At the baseball game, when I told her about my … baby…”
“Exactly! The first day we met her! That’s the last time she’s talked to you. She’s never sought any kind of a relationship with you, and then she names her baby after you like it’s a testament to your bond. What bond? She only has the time of day for Edward and maybe Alice. Or Carlisle if she’s injured because she’s too good to go to the ER like a normal human. It’s sucking up. It’s ‘here, I’m getting everything you ever wanted, but at least you can share part of her white trash made-up name!’”
“Rosalie!”
“I’m tired of pretending I’m okay with this! I’m trying to be good for Nessie’s sake—it’s not her fault she was born to such oblivious parents or that she was cursed just like we are. I feel so awful for her.”
“But Nessie has no idea what it means to be human,” Esme reasoned. “It doesn’t make it any less sad from our perspective, but at least the poor child has no concept of what she’s missing.”
“It would just be nice if Bella didn’t have to rub it in our faces, you know? If she could shut up for two seconds about how amazing and special and perfect her daughter is and how blissful it feels to be a mom.” Rosalie’s golden eyes flashed with fury. “SHE DIDN’T EVEN WANT IT, ESME! I tried to be nice and warn her, and she told me she’d never want anything more than Edward, that children were what I wanted but not what she wanted. And then she gets to be a mom and I don’t. YOU don’t. It’s not fair.”
“I know, darling,” Esme soothed gently. “I know.”
